The Journal of Interdisciplinary Dance Studies (JIDS) is an international peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to advancing innovative research in dance studies and interdisciplinary humanities scholarship.
Published by the Asian Dance Research and Practice Association (ADRPA), the journal provides an international platform for scholars, researchers, artists, educators, and practitioners to explore dance within diverse cultural, social, philosophical, technological, and performative contexts.
JIDS welcomes original research articles, theoretical discussions, ethnographic studies, embodied and visual methodologies, performance analysis, artistic practice research, and interdisciplinary approaches related to dance, movement, embodiment, cultural heritage, ritual, performance studies, and contemporary artistic practices.
The journal particularly encourages cross-cultural and interdisciplinary dialogue connecting dance with anthropology, sociology, philosophy, education, media studies, digital humanities, cultural studies, ritual studies, and contemporary artistic research.
